Prompt: What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?

Prompt Response: Brainstorming is hard because I never know what to write. My mind just goes blank. I’ll try to fix this by jotting down random ideas and hoping something makes sense.

Summary: Today in class we did a Literary Analysis prompt practice together as a class and took notes on how to write a body paragraph for an essay. Mr. Rease made it look easy but it was a bit difficult for me.

Reflection: Today was a good day, I went to the dentist in the morning to get fillings for my cavities which i’ve never done before. It was a very painful procedure and a very long one. I got to school and my entire upper lip was numb and swollen. After it went away i was able to eat and talk normally. School was okay and afterwards i had soccer practice which was also good.
