Prompt: Write about a time when you had to rely on your mother (or any other prominent female in your life) during your time of need.

Prompt Response: One time, I was really sick and couldn't take care of myself. My mom made sure I had medicine, food, and rest. She stayed by my side until I felt better.

Summary: Today in class we reviewed and talked about a poem with the entire class. We annotated and shared thoughts and filled out questions on our papers. I think the poem was very powerful and had a deep meaning.

Reflection: Today was a tiring day. School was good at the beginning and towards the end I got pretty tired. I had a soccer game today. Lakeside v. Pace. We tied 0-0 but lost in penalties which really sucked. It honestly didn't feel like a lost because we didn't allow any balls to go into our goal which meant we did a good job defensively. They're were definitely a rough and physical team but we managed to hold them down.
