Prompt: In both texts that you read, the line between reality and imagination blurs—the narrator sees a woman in the wallpaper, while Dickinson’s speaker feels their own funeral happening in their mind. Have you ever had an experience where stress, fear, or emotions made something feel distorted or unreal? How did you ground yourself in reality again?

Yes, I have felt that way before. When I was really stressed, everything felt unreal, like I wasn’t fully there. My mind kept racing, and it was hard to focus. To calm down, I took deep breaths and reminded myself where I was. Talking to someone and listening to music also helped me feel normal again.

In class, we finished our 'The Yellow Wallpaper' discussion questions and worked independently. We talked about the story and how the narrator's mind changes over time. After that, we had time to work on our own, which helped us focus and understand the story better. It was a productive class.

I had an okay day today. My ankle was hurting, which made it hard to walk around and focus on things. I tried to take it easy, but I still had to keep moving. Even though it wasn't the best day, I managed to get through it and still get things done. It wasn’t great, but I made the most of it.
